The Rallies:Hillary Takes Texas-Huck a Po’ man from Arkansas

I mean who saw that one coming!!! Ok, I’m sure alot of people saw that one coming, but I really thought that Barack would take Texas, the problem is that Huckabee (I went to his rally and got Chuck Norris’s autograph) who doesn’t have a statistical chance of winning has pretty much secured McCain’s nomination for Republican party Candidate. So, in texas for the primaries it doesn’t matter what a person’s part is registered as to vote. So, a republican can vote in the democratic primary. Out of the two candidates, personally, I find Barack to be strogner (although Hillary and Barack’s plans are pretty much the same-its all about whose face you want to represent the Democrats) So, the republicans because of McCain’s security in the republican polls voted for Hillary. If you live near me then you’ve heard a lot of the anti-hillary clinton talk (even though half the Hillary haters have no clue in effing hell what they’re talking about when it comes to Hating Hillary, I mean there are true anti-hillary people, but there are some posers in the midst) Anyways, McCain against Clinton is not going to be as rough of a race for (a lot of people), and it will be easier for mccain to run against her (I know a lot of democrats who said they’d sit out the election if Hillary is nominated). But Obama against McCain that might be a stronger race.

Anyways, I went to both the Hillary Clinton and Mike Huckabee rallies in Waco, TX and I thought I’d tell you guys a little about the events. Firstly, I went to the Huckabee rally only to see Chuck Norris because (Comeon, Huckabee is just running to run and unless he got down on his Evangelical knees and built an ark—wait he still probably wouldn’t win). Chuck was awesome, his wife was so in to Huckabee, and I saw a little Norris and Wife DTR (OMG! Scandal). I have some general complaints about the Huck rally. I got there early with my friends and we were in the first rows, unlike the Clinton rally we didn’t go through airport security just to enter the doors of the Hilton Ballroom (According to my friend Cal its cause Huckabee is Po’ not just poor, but Po’). Me and my friend Max (the only dems out of the 5 people we came with, and 1 out of the 5 minorities at the entire rally) push through the crowds (like only a pushy, agressive democrats can), and we end up on the second row to see Chuck (OMG!!!CHUCK!!!) and Huckabee. And here it is complaint #1-We has to wait for 30 minutes for Huck to start talking while they blared country music (the bad kind that mentioned texas every five minutes), and got progressively louder and louder. It was as if the louder the crowd started yelling for Huckabee the louder the music got, to top it off I’m staring at some girl with the world’s Pinkest shirt and cowboy hat. #2 The crowd at the Huck rally was SO Homogenous-I’ve never seen so many Evangelical protestants shoved into a room that wasn’t a baptist church. Me and Max had fun creeping out the old republicans by pretending to be gay (we freaked out the woman next to us so bad that we got even more room in the front) #3-this isn’t a general complaint, as much as it is me feeling bad for Mike (Huck) he spent most of his rally basically saying, Although every analyst in the country thinks Satan has a better chance of being turned into Angel than actually winning primaries, you should vote for me anyways. Please! I really need it.

The best thing about Huck’s rally was getting Chuck’s (OMG!!!CHUCK!!) autograph, shoving that little girl aside with the pink shirt, and having chuck touch my pen.

The H-Clinton Rally:

I go to the convention center with my friends Max and Stina (the republicans at Huck’s rally didn’t come so, its only dem friends). We were late because we all had classes we needed to attend. But, we got there right in time. Firstly, by the time we went to Hil’s rally we were practically rally professionals.(We’re good at being those pushy agressive types of liberals-awesome type for rallies). So, we get past airport security-they threw away my Snapple because it was a glass bottle! And, they thought my friends i-pod might be some type of explosive, (Hillary is not as po’ as Huckabee so she can afford some form or protection, and unlike Huck she does have a chance of winning). We get there right on time (so hillary must have started a bit late as well). She did not have Chuck, but she did have some veterans sitting behind her (nice touch Clinton). So, I’m so surprised about the heterogeneity of the clinton crowd with all the minorities. When we first walk in we meet a Gay old man, and he’s like the nicest person ever. People at the Clinton rally were so nice (at first). Clinton said a lot of things I agree with, I’m totally in support of universal healthcare, and (I’m not sure about Iraq, I’m not even going to pretend about having a stance when I don’t-personally I like Obama’s speed of getting out of Iraq better, if we’re going to get out I don’t think SUDDEN change is good at all) she said a lot of other things I liked (but can’t remember now). Unlike the Huck rally it was like Clinton and I were on the same page. (except for a few things I like more about Barack). I realized if Clinton were president, I wouldn’t be disappointed (even though she’s not who I wanted to win primaries. Love ya Obama!!!)At the end we got SOOO close to Hillary, and UNLIKE HUCK she did a Sic’ em bears, (and unlike chuck she didn’t mention Aggies..smart move Hil) Wow…I could see her. She’s a little bit taller than me, and she always wore a smile, woah! I almost got her autograph, but someone pushy shoved be aside right before she was about to grab my pen. But still, I’ve never been so close to someone as big as Hillary Clinton before.

And that’s my story about the rally. I’ll post some pictures online once my friends upload the rally photos to facebook.
