CELEBRITY APPRENTICE:

I love watching a few celebrities and about 10 others I’ve never heard about in my life competing in the cut-throat world of business. But honestly, celebrity appeal only goes so far. I have other things to do. I can’t watch an hour or two of celebrity apprentice every night. COME ON….I HAVE A LIFE! Please shorten this show, it’d make things a lot easier for me.

I was so excited when I heard about this new network, and then as we all know it started failing. Why did it start failing? Because OWN decided to put things about bettering yourself on television. I have no desire to better myself when I watch television. Please cater to that.

AMERICAN IDOL

I have no desire to watch people stand around and sing. It’s called the radio. Please add dancing or something else. You’re not fun anymore.

Remember how you were such a good show at first? you’re not good anymore. Please get better.

I think it is time I solicit my opinion towards the death of Trayvon Martin.

At first, I viewed the whole thing like an activism issue, and the news spun it as an unarmed non-aggressive black kid being gunned down merely because of his suspicious looks. The worst part being the law upholding the murderer.

The news made it seem as through Trayvon Martin was shot, admist his cries for help, point blank just because he was black.

But most unfortunately, time passed, and the news was forced to produce a different picture of the events which transpired in Sanford, Florida on February 26. I’m not going to go into all of that because it’s irrelevant.

Did Trayvon Martin Deserve to die?

No, at no point did he deserve being murdered.

But, I suppose if the public is going to judge Zimmerman for his actions, than truly the public must judge everyone else for their actions as well.

What about the neighborhood watch? Shouldn’t they be held responsible for the actions of their neighborhood watchman? You don’t give someone a gun, without a background check, and let them be the deffender of your neighborhood.

Suppose the neighborhood watch took the time to give a background check. Zimmerman wouldn’t have even been allowed to be a watchman, and Trayvon Martin might have still been alive.

Where is the Neighborhood Watch’s responsibility in all of this? Why aren’t people prosecuting that organization in the court of public opinion? I feel they are more responsible for letting a renegade patrol the streets, then the renegade for his terrible actions.

Bullying is Bullying is Bullying.

Maybe we can all see this now. The fact that a person would bully someone they live with to such an extent they feel they need to take their own life is absolutely ridiculous.

If Clementi hadn’t killed himself, and just lived with his treacherous roommate this case wouldn’t have even made it to national attention. When is our society going to accept that any form of bullying–whether or not the victim takes action–is a HUGE problem?

I’m not saying that anyone can possibly know all of the reasons Tyler Clementi took his own life, or if Clementi would have committed suicide if Ravi hadn’t posted those videos of him on the internet. I’m just saying, yes, Ravi was a bully, and it’s a terrible shame that Clementi had to die before anyone took real action in holding Ravi accountable.

Why do problems have to come to such an extreme, before someone can say that maybe–just maybe–all bullying from playground teasing to intimidation is awful and needs more severe consequences?

So, yes the Rutgers verdict was fair. In fact, we should take the time to convict more bullies. Perhaps, this might save someone else’s life.
